Stay on track Smash. Persevere.
Just get yourself fit and work from there. If you are fit at 220 then stay there. If you need to get to 198 to get fit then thats where you should be. Dont lose weight for the sake of losing weight. You need to be strong in your class not just at the right weight. You may actually find that you are stronger (for your class) at 220 than 198. The guys in 198 (or their respective classes) are strong at that weight because thats where they are supposed to be.
Just worry about getting fit and healthy. Then TEAR IT UP!!!!!

August 15 2007 --------------------- Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am BEYOND frustrated right now. Stupid @#$$%^ #$%^#$%^&%& @#$ @#$#@$ 90 year old #$@#% #$%#^ elliptical trainer machine. Ok so tonight it's like 9:30 and I figure I will start my cardio early and be done early....right.... Done Early is an understatement. I go down to the tiny workout room and Get on the machine and I'm on there for like 15 minutes and then the stupid thing falls apart. The back piece literally break and my left sky part falls down to the floor and the back spindle on the machine is busted clean off. GRRRRRRR. Now I can't do cardio tonight and who knows when they will get the stupid machine fixed that almost tore my freaking leg off!!!!!! Grrr, Now the treadmill and the elliptical trainer are busted and I'm without a cardio machine. THIS SUX!!!! It's not a good day for our hero That's a bummer! Time to walk up and down the stairs for 30 minutes or go for a run?

The problem with both of those is that my left knee has some issues and it acts up when I do those. I guess I could walk but Running and stairclimbers are hard on my knee. Good point. Don't aggravate your knee. How about swimming?

She does not use it much... or the other thousands of dollars worth of cardio equipment she has "needed" over the years. Yours is a "recumbent bike". I used to use it a bit but it hurt my back. It would dig in at the top.

lol.... I have that same one. Me too! It's stuck in the corner of my basement, as we are building another bedroom. It is a nice little machine - magnetic resistance.

It would dig in at the top. You have a very funny way of wording things. Priceless I will see how it goes and post on here what I think about it. Should be picking it up in the next couple days. Hopefully tonight but maybe not until tomorrow. I just purchased an 8Lb sledge hammer today to train with. The very muscles that I can work with it are some of the muscles I need most improvement on. Should be great. I decided against the nylon style handle and went with the wood handle. $10.00 cheaper and I didn't notice a difference in grip for that I'm using it for. Welcome to the amazing world of sledge hammers! ;D Any sort of levering handle is great but sledge hammers are cheap and available. Wrap the handle in white hockey tape, mark each inch with a sharpie marker and chart your progress.
