I know you haven't been climbing rope for long but would you say you have noticed an improvement since starting to climb? If so, in what area? Would it be general strength? Or applicable strength such as helping a certain technique etc.?
Thanks

I climb rope, eat right, train hard, take part in weekly Two and a half hour training sessions that leave everybody ELSE exhausted, I found a sport that I have pure dedication and passion for and I'm not about to go down easily. I'm new but I'm hungry and if you want to get in my way to prove yourself better than me then be ready for war. With this attitude, you will be a World Champion!

Alright, you win! 405 by the end of May! ;D Simply don't have access to that much weight. Don't have any intention of going to the gym, Been there, done that. Preffer home equipment for armwrestling only training. Do you have a car... lift that! ;D

What kind of rope is it? Does it have knots in it to aid in climbing/gripping? I'd really like to start this exercise but would like some ideas as to how to set myself up.

Wednesday May 9, 2007 ------------------------------- Climbing ----------- - there is a playground right accross the street from my house and they have some swings there with the metal diagonal metal poles that go to the ground and makup the main frame of a swing set. I figured that was a great training device. So I climbed the diagonal facing metal poles just using my hands while facing away from the swings themselves. - Did this 6 times Chin-ups ------------- Set Weight Reps ----- ---------- ------- 1. body 15 2. body 13 3. body 11 + static holds on last 2 reps
