Saturday April 7, 2007 ---------------------------- Pulled in the Saskatoon tournament and gave home with 2 second place trophy's. 232+, Left and right arm. I consider a tournament a workout when you pull 4 weight classes. I pulled 199-231 Left and Right arm and 232+ Left and Right arm. @#$%#$ Tyrrell and his @#$@@$ ;D Congrats on the 2nd place! How did you jump between all of the weight categories... weigh-in for 232+ and then take a big dump or go in light and eat your way up? ;D

Nice workout, Curtis! Thanks A Lot Mathew. After taking a long hard look at how easily some guys can slam me, I have decided that the static holds will help build up some of my weaknesses and alow me to be more competitve against the better pullers. I need to add static holds to my workouts as well. ;D

[quote author=toontownpuller board=logs thread=1173757536 When I first started climbing rope not very long ago, I couldn't even pull myself off the ground. This has to be a good sign.[/quote] Nice! Can you do any one-arm holds (full flex, hand beside face)?

Can you do any one-arm holds (full flex, hand beside face)? Uhhhh, Still having problems climbing up and then down again. How do you climb... pull with both - grab, grab... pull with both - grab, grab? If you want to work on one-arm holds, just sit on the floor and try to lift (hand near forehead height) as hard as you can with only one arm, then switch. Do them after your regular climb. Eventually, you will be able to lift and hold yourself off the ground, with only one arm. For negatives, sit on your knees (Karate style) beside the rope, elevate yourself a bit using your quads, grab the rope with one hand in a full lock near your chin, tighten everything and then lift your shins and feet off the ground. Try to hang without touching. Repeat. ;D

Smash. I take it back. You can come to Ontario... as long as you dont pull in the 198's You now have an invitation to come train with Team Ottawa. It sure would be fun to see if you could wear Devon out. We sure could use you when he decides to play King of the Table with us.
