big hands make up for lack of strength. I haven't arm wrestled anyone else with as big of hands as my friend. i need to find someone so i can practice with because my goal is to beat my friend. I don't care if i go to tournaments and beat everyone there. If i don't arm wrestle a guy with big hands like my friend and win...i won't be satisfied. Learn the technique. practice, practice, practice.

Darren Matthews and Matt Maske have the biggest meat-hooks I have seen yet... very tough to beat! Tim Aubin would be a close third.

Awh Flatered! But its true that Matt mask does have Insane hand coverage making it nearly imposible to do anything to. and they are just so god d$%# fast, that its imposible to get them in that hook possition. Hail to the master.

I said that it's intimidating but don't get me wrong anybody can be beat. If the guys got a big squeezing grip and it feels like you're done before you even begin there's obviously a reson he's gripping so hard, I don't have a crushing grip but my hands are strong and I just end up holding my position and let my arm do the rest don't worry that much about the hand there's always a way out.

I know that's what i have to do as i said in my first statement that if we go into a hook (when he lets me) he's mine!!! its when he doesn't let me have it. because his hand is so big...i can't control it to make it turn into a hook.

Focus on making your wrist and hand as strong as possible. I train with a guy who has the biggest hand Ive ever seen in armwrestling or outside and the only way to beat him is with alot of wrist flexion forcing him in. Also you can force a hook by jumping forward and using speed to catch him in a hook. I dont personally prefer this way but it can work. Good luck!

defensive hook doesn't work if they don't want to hook you. my friend can hold the top roll position...or hands pronated position while getting his shoulder behind it and pressing down. he's all the way out on my hand when doing this
