Thanks alot for the very kind and encouraging words John. I was looking forward to your reply. At this point I am cerain that I will be able to keep all my muscle and be under 220 Lbs. Although the only time that will matter is when Provincials come around........man, that's a long time away But By then my armwrestling strength will be up alot as well. I will be sure to keep you posted. When I can look at myself and not consider myself to be fat I will be sure to post pics ;D

I know most of you do not care but just incase you are currious..... I have been doing 1.5 to 3 hrs of cardio - 6 days a week with eating 3 meals of chicken and rice and one meal of eggs and whole wheat toast. *** Edited to add that I am drinking enough water to kill a small whale everyday ;D I am still just supplementing with Glucosamine and a high quality Multivitamin and Ephedrine tablets (or DYMA BURN wich is way more expensive so I have been just using the cheap over the counter Ephedrine tablets.) I just weighed myself and am very shocked to see that I broke 230Lbs. I am 229 Lbs after my first 2 meals. I feel I've come quite a ways from 246.5 when I started this only a few weeks ago. I feel like I'm at full strength and am looking better than ever. I'm doing all this just for this sport, no other reason. The only downside is that I lost fat in my chest area and arms area so they look smaller than before But with all my armwrestling training my forearms are looking pretty cool

Keep on rollin' Curtis!!!! downside -- losing fat in chest and arms? ?? downside??? are you nuts? .... easy on the cardio big guy. you definitely dont want to be overtrained for the sake of cardio. your body needs more than one days rest with all the stress you are putting on it. the fat will come off... but it DOESN'T need to come off in one week!!!! remember... the recovery phase is just as important as the building phase.. for you cant build effectively without letting your body recover.. eventually that will catch up with you... hence.. overtraining. im sorry if i sound like a broken record but it is what it is. congrats on the good work champ... keep it up john

I hear ya, Thanks for the praise too. I really don't need to be down to 220 until like......provincials Next Year. Just that now that I've started I'm so pumped. Got the old 6 pack commin' back and I don't meen the beer. I will give myself a few days in a row rest for the big tournament in Saskatoon next weekend. Oh yeah, About missing the fat in my chest and arms....I looked stronger with it

Looks don't help you when your in the trenches in the middle of a tough match. I noticed in Stoon that you definately looked slimmer. Like John said Curtis you should ease up on the gas pedal a bit. Slow and steady man, slow and steady.

Thanks for posting in here Terry. I have slowed down on my cardio a bit. I'm now doing once a day Carido and only 5 days a week. Still mostly just chicken and rice but now I am supplementing with a once a day whey protein shake wich will help maintain and build muscle but not put on fat.
The day of the Saskatoon Tournament BEFORE weiging in there with my jacket and shoes and everything on I was weighing in at 227 at home. So now that 220 is within reach I feel like now is the time to up my protein intake to put some muscle on my arms.

What are you at now Curtis? You should be tapering off I imagine and be in a refining stage.
It probably would do you wonders to take a week off. Just chill out and stay off the treadmill and let your body "catch up". You wont lose strength in one week... in fact you may come back even stronger.
Since I've dropped to 199 I've been off the treadmill (maybe once a week or so) and hitting up the deadlifts and it has been working very well. I think after this "season" is over I might be dropping to 187... not sure yet though. I'm starting to feel strong in my current class so that may change. Till then.... I'll be keeping my eyes on the prize.

I have been working 12 hr days for my 11th day straight without a day off. in this time I have been off the exercise bike but I have still been eating Chicken/rice/rice cakes. My arms are feeling quite strong and I have been armwrestling with a guy I know who is just getting into the sport. This thursday some of the Saskatoon pullers will be getting together (Tracey, Tyrell, a buddy of mine, and Myself) to do some serious pulling and I'm pumped about the whole idea. My weigh is floating as low at 228 and as hight as 231. I'm getting to close to having a six back but still have some fat around the abdoment area that I'm looking forward to getting off. Once my 3 weeks of overtime are up I will be catching up on sleep and hitting up the Exercies bike at full tilt again. Keep me posted on your progress as well John. Always good to hear from you.

Just and update on My weightloss program.
I've still been eating chicken and rice Daily but I have switched to Salmon and Rice a couple times a week for a flavor changeup.
I have a a cheat day here and there just to get a bit of flavor and sugar.
Other than that I am still training once a week with team Saskatoon and still training a couple times a week at home. My cardio has been cut down to twice a week lately because I've been very busy.
I have also upped my protein intake lately because my muscles have been feeling weeker at practices lately and I HATE that feelling. Plus my recovery has been taking longer. With the Upped protein I have been feelling much stronger. I have still kept my fats and sugars down.
I figured all this combined would mean BAD things on the scale but I figured I would step up and Weigh myself anyway.
I weighed myself tonight and to my surprise, I am now down to 223 Lbs.
Right on track for my 198 Lb Goal.
That's all for now.

hmmm.... feeling weaker..... longer recovery time..... does not sound like lack of protien to me. espceially after listing your diet.. which sounds very strict and bang on track. great protien and carb base.. little fats (sounds perfect). what ever could your symptoms be from? ? i'm not even gonna say it again .. i've preached about it too many times in previous posts and i'm sure you are sick of hearing it. aside from that it sounds like you are doing well. i see the pictures from your practices posted on other threads.. im gonna have to make a trip out sometime. i've been working on a new webiste (finally close to being done) you should check it out and let me know what you think. www.inthehook.comtill then.. keep the train on the track bud
