Nice Andrew! Round robin would be a fun way to run a tournament.

uploadingit.com/file/nrxauf9oqk1quc8k/TP4XL.xlsmdownload the file and create a folder C:/arm/ where it will store its data The latest version of tournament program for excel. I will be thoroughly testing it over the holidays. It is very powerful and hopefully very easy to use. All of the features that I envisioned are now a reality. The project is essentially complete. At some time in the future I may release a modified version or rewrite some of the code to allow triple elimination and increase the limit from 16 to 32 pullers per class.

Tournament program for excel now offers the option of running standard style double elimination with multiple byes awarded in the opening rounds. Example of 9 man bracket: Right Pro Men 176

Download TP4xL_jan_20v2.xlsm on UploadingitLatest version of tournament program for excel. Still testing but works great. Allows standard or WAF style double elimination, round robin or single elimination style tournaments. Allows each round to be seeded by weight, skill or randomly. Includes logic to avoid repeated matchups. Produces message board postable brackets for live updates and message board postable or HTML coded brackets to post results that are linked to each video. Records transcript of the match including slips, warnings, ref grips and fouls. Coupled with a projector it informs competitors and spectators of the progress of the tournament.

Whoa - this sounds amazing! When I find some time, I'll have to try out your updated program again; before our next tournament in April for sure.

Hi Andrew,
Finally took some time to play with your program - very awesome and I love the possibilities, great work! Can you undo your choice of winner as the tournament progresses? I sure like the way you can load a pic of each competitor - nice touch! I'm thinking we won't end up using it at Pull in the Park, as Cathy will be running the draw sheets, and she's not a computer person at all, however I feel this is definitely the way of the future.
Thanks, Jeff

There is an undo feature that can be used 'most' of the time if the incorrect winner is selected. The button is found at the interface tab. ______________________________________ It does not work in absolutely every instance. Sometimes after a winner is declared the program will automatically process a "bye" and when you actually press the undo match button it is the bye that gets undone not the last match. Byes are typically processed at the beginning or end of a round. If this were to occur the results could be changed manually from the Results Log tab. And any incorrectly loaded next round matches could be removed from the OnQue tab. The proper matches could then be loaded by pressing the ready button on the options tab. ________________________________ Besides the pictures, there is also a link to trigger an entrance video by pressing the weight of the puller on the versus tab. A video file needs to exist called firstnamelastname.mpg (avi, mov etc) and be located in the C:/arm/ folder. I would be happy to work with Cathy in running the brackets on this program. Having the match information from the program makes the video editing easier and allows me to post the video linked brackets like these ones from our provincials: www.manitobaarmwrestling.com/tournaments/mb2013.htm
