Chris what do you consider elite and i didnt see you making the trip here this year. An elite level puller - the higher level of the pro level puller. He can easily compete with the best in the world. Oh I'm done paying over 2000$ for a trip to pay for an over bloated registration fee to compete for a 15$ plaque or medal. If I need to know how I measure up vs pro Canadian pullers, I ll drive 4 hours to MGC in march.

video looks great ian, good camera work. i just don't see enough valid reasons to have nats in ontario everyyear. with the amount of great tournaments over there, there should be enough to keep any tv company happy if they really want to put awing on tv. also by having another major tournament to go to, would that make other tournaments less popular/less entrys? therefore actually hurting awing rather then helping?

Simply because of population, this unfortunately looks plausible, but I hate it. It makes me puke in my mouth a little. Seriously. Don't tell me not to get emotional. Robbing this Country, all of its people, of a fair shake at being champion is sad. It may be Ian's and Chris' posts that make me more uneasy. If you want what's best for Canadian Armwrestling and the validity of it's Champions. Show up, participate and then, if you apparently must, whine. Take off the horse blinders, look around. The high caliber, true armwrestlers are from coast to coast. Ian, I'll bet Ontario and Quebec have the most "none competitive" armwrestlers out there that would repeatedly show up to Nationals and dilute the classes. I'm against it, but we must do what we have too to survive.

Hemsing had a well publicized tournament in Saskatchewan with $10 000 in cash prizes. Not one Ontario or Quebec entry. Why is that? Is it more expensive to travel from the major centers of Canada? I know it sure cost me a pretty penny to go to Ottawa last year to win the Canadian Title, that should count since I was in Ontario. This debate would be far better off with someone with more composure and intellect spearheaded it, me included. I'm failing to stay objective. Ian, Chris, your posts cheapen the accomplishments of Canadian Medalists in my opinion. We should read some of Eric's posts and learn how to be objective.

My posts cheapen Canadian medalists? How about an average of 4 entrees per class in which 75% of the entrees receive medals. You want me to be objective.. What's more objective than simple mathematics. You know any other sports championships that dish out podium medals to 75% of all participants?

Do you know any other sport that suffers so dearly because the most populated areas can't see past the end of their street, and won't support the peers that go out of their way to improve instead of criticize this sport. Where were you to save the integrity of Canadian Armwrestling? Support and help.
