chris i not looking at the team trophey points(as that indicates the elite pullers showing up) i'm looking at the percentage of pullers in ontario to the percentage that show up at nationals when they are hosted outside ontario. i'm surprised that your making it personal, also surprised that you forgot i was with you guys when i went over to the 2010 mgc. i also went to 2008 in moose jaw.

"Who cares about where the elite pullers travel to, they are few and do not represent the the Canadian aw world" so your saying that the elite pullers beacuse they are few, don't represent canadain armwrestling? i think thats backwards. i'm not endorsing cross country travel, i'm saying thats why the nationals should come to the pullers.
"Emotional arguments from those living on the extreme west coast " chris if a puller can't get emotional over armwrestling he/she isn't an armwreslter.

1- how many elite pullers were in bc for nats? 5? 5 out of 100 = 5%. Still think elite pullers make up the majority of Canadian aw ing??
2- being emotional about aw and letting emotion detract you from being objective are two totally different things. (proof) - if u lived in Toronto you would sing a different tune, I guarantee that! So what does that tell u about ur stance? You want Nats to come to you because it suits u better. Your thinking of your needs not the aw community's. This isnt a pissing contest, it's a argument over what's ideal to keep the nats from losing $$ and to keep entrees north of 200

i'm not talking about representing as in numbers but representing as in showing off skills, sportsmanship, etc.
like i said before ontario has tonnes of tourneys a year, having nats everyear there is not going to help out canadian armwrestling.
sorry nats is never going to come to my little hole town, where we have around 6 pullers. i'm always going to have to travel. i'm not thinking about myself at all. i also didn't realize that nats was about making money.

Events that lose money do not survive very long. Anthony lost big $$ and I ll bet BC won't see another nats for a decade. All competitors need to cough up 60$ per arm mearly to keep event afloat. But hey, executives get a paid (un shared!) hotel room for their stay .... and the national title champions get a 10$ medal. You gotta love it.

Hey Matt. I don't think your being a dink about this at all I posed a question and you gave me your answer. Look I think our point for and against aren't on the same plain I.E global warming feels good to me because i get three months of summer instead of two But you might say yeah but the ocean raised three feet ( Due to ICE caps melting) and the banks broke and now my back yard flooded. Here's the deal global warming is happening for better or worse we can fight it or learn to live with it. Ontario pullers weather they like to admit it or not don't travel out side Ontario much because they are content with the caliber of pullers that they compete with month in and month out. In the past 8-10 months I have pulled Earl Wilson, Mike Gould, Rick Hiederbrech, Greg Boyse, Dan Kadlec, etc some of them multiple times. I'm not going to fly to B.C. to pull Mike and Earl "if they showed up" just to get a shot to pull Espey. Espey is a guy I want to pull very bad but I'm not willing to pay 3,000 plus to do it.
There have been people talking about a Professional Nationals based out of Ontario where cash prizes are offered and the Title Canadian Professional Armwrestling Champion is crowned.
Matt your points are valid. Here is the reality come to us if want to improve your chances of engaging in greater championship caliber matches. I don't see participation from Ontario at Nat's improving when its outside of Ontario I see it getting worse. The cost $$$$ is to high and the incentive is not there unless your a title chacer. If you want to get good events and pullers Ontario guy's just look at the Calender and Quebec has followed us as well sometimes out numbering the Ontario guy's. Great support from team's Meta Hook & DAWRT.
Maybe I am not getting my point across, Right doesn't = success fair doesn't = smart and end result is predicated on #'s and accessibility. MLA, Arm Melter, MGC, All pay cash as an incentive.

Dan, AD, Ryan & Matt, look at this link of what Ontario's provincials looked like and all the extras's I.E massage and physio therapist Rogers cable and yes #'s The idea is if there were two events like this that are clear progressive events i. e. Prov-Nats-then Worlds we could sell his idea to cable as there is some consistanceyin programeing and people might start lookking forward to theses events on T.V. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGVnmq7PVfg&list=UUfYjBySfGIM3EiCEWTGVTbA&index=1&feature=plcp
