;DThe manager of The Den Lounge on campus wanted me to remind everyone about the following and how to get to the University without any problems: - Entry fees include dinner at the Den Lounge- Trophies and plaques will be given out after the tournament in the Den Lounge (opposite end of the food court) Directions to the University of Calgary: 1. HWY-2 towards Calgary 2. Turn onto Ramp towards McKnight Blvd / Airport 3. Take Ramp onto McKnight Blvd (NE) towards McKnight Blvd West 4. Bear LEFT (West) onto John Laurie Blvd NW 5. Turn LEFT (South-West) onto Charleswood Dr NW 6. Road name changes to 32 Ave NW (Charleswood Dr NW) going over CrowchildTr. 7. Turn LEFT (South) onto Collegiate Blvd NW (3rd. set of lights passed CrowchildTr.) 8.Turn second LEFT into Public Parking 63-Lot 12 (parking is $3.50 per entry) 9.Collegiate Blvd is a Col-de-sac. In the Col-de-sac is the "Roger Jackson Centre of Health & Wellness Research" and the "Nickel Arts Museum". MacEwan StudentCentre is between these two buildings (a glass faced building). Weigh-ins from 10 AM - 12 Noon Tournament starts at 1 PM Entry Fee: $15.00 per class

Good luck with the tournie Darrell. I wish I could make it. Once I'm laid off from work maybe I'll be able to make more tournies. I want to try and make the Alta provincials in May.

Thanks Fred...if there is no snow, which is not forecasted, thisevent should have a good showing. Fraser has said there is a team coming from BC with 6 to 10 people and people coming from Fort McMurray through to Lethbridge. I am also getting some internal inquries about the novice classes.
Scott: The tournament is this Saturday March 11th...I would hate to see you choke yourself !!!

Daryl, when you say Den Lounge do you mean bar ? I was just wondering because I planned on bringing my 9 year old son with me !

how to you sign up for the tournament? please write me an email, let me know if you just show up. i live in calgary and would like to be there for my first tournament.

Yes...The Den Lounge is a bar. I can always bring your trophy to you when the tournament is over!!!

The snow is holding off, it looks like we are going to have a clear day for road travel. The Calgary sporting media have all been confirmed that they are coming...WhooAAAAAA ;D

I should make myself more clear...the tournament will be held in the food court but the throphy presentation will be in The Den.
