Simon is a very strong inside competitor but there are not too many people who can control Vern's hand enough to turn him in. I think Vern will utilize his top roll in this match and dominate. Not taking anything away from you Simon, pound for pound your still one of the best hookers out there

Thanks Will the problem is Vern won't hook with me. Why should he hook with me, he has beaten me more times than probably anyone in this sport why change now? Admittedly I have gotten better against him, mostly I have just gotten stronger and a bit smarter about trying to not let his incredible hand control rip me out of position. This supermatch was supposed to be a four way at the very least....two Canadians and two Americans, $1K each winner take all, I thought this was a very interesting challenge, but alas we could not secure the others, leaving just Vern and I. I am voting for Vern myself simply because he has beaten me every time we have ever pulled, being that I was raised around the Nevada casinos I know full well you can't buck a trend like that. I am going to say 3-1 just to see if I can get myself a moral victory out of this.

Hi Vern It is good to see you involved in some money matches. I appreciate Simons views on sinking a hook but I still remember that wrist and hand of yours. Being in your basement you were always gracious to us. Can't wait to see it. Darcy

From what I understand Simon beat Vern this weekend. I don't know the details but maybe someone could fill me in. I think this makes this supermatch more significant.

Well ... were back from another great event ...tons of great pulls and good times with friends. Yep .... Simon beat me ... not a shock to me since I have pulled him many times and he has got better and stronger each time. It shows that the strong will prevail if they keep pushing forward. Simon has always been strong and works out very hard to get where he is at now. Simon was the man that day ... we have all been there before and I say "Congrats" to his accomplishment. I am sore and need to rest up before Mike Event at the end of the Month here. I have been very lucky to come out the last few years and accomplish what I have. The thing is there is always someone better ... and you need to lose to know what winning is about.

Glad to see you made it back safely my friend.
Now to the facts since he is too gracious of a man to comment on them.
There seemed to be no question to me that Vern was still feeling the effects of the Arnold only a week previous to this event I will be fortunate to be anywhere near 100% even two weeks from now, much less only a week from now. Once again I got the advantage of Vern and Devin having a very tough match earlier in the day before I ever had to pull Vern. On this day I was able to get some breaks and make something happen it is really nothing more than that, it had to happen at sometime I mean hell he has beaten me at least 20 times in the last couple of years, and you know the old saying about the sun shinning on a dogs “tail”. Saturday was this dogs day for just a little bit, that is just part of this sport and what makes it great.
I will see all of you in a couple of weeks barring any problems.
Take Care Simon
