Here are some of the proposals that were discussed at the WAF Congress:
- New members: Afghanistan, Estonia, Iceland, Iraq and New Zealand
- World Championships: 2015 - Malaysia; 2016 - Bulgaria; 2017 - Hungary; 2018 - Slovakia
- If 1 country gets 2 positive tests then THEY must pay for an addition 2 tests of their team
- The official currency will now be Euros not US$. Therefore entry fee, country fees, etc will all be going up.
- Starting in 2016 there will be 50 out of competition drug tests.
- 2 days are added to the end of the World Championships to allow Disabled at the event
- Referees cannot referee their countrymen in finals and semi-finals
- If you Protest a match the protest money must be paid at the score keeping table not the armwrestling table. Pull out money at the AW table and you are fined 100 Euros
- Only Congress can remove any WAF elected official
- Any person now can run for the position of President. Before only continental Presidents could run.
- Video judging will be limited to Protests only. It cannot be used to replace the downside referee.
