One thing I noticed at this Worlds was that Canada was still a force in armwrestling. You may look at the results and think that we are well back. I saw Shea and Randy pull and both are among the top. The results may not refect it but watching them pull you could see they weren't that far removed from the podium. One match in particular Randy smashed the guy that finished 5th. However he got called on an elbow foul. I'm not making excuses why someone lost but to show how close we are.

That's good to hear Rick, and doesn't really surprise me because despite the amount of steroids coursing through (many of) the Russian's veins, how can you get much stronger than "super-strong" (ie Randy, Shea)?

Jeff,
Steroid use isn't restricted to the eastern European countries. There is plenty on this side of the pond as well. Just remember that those attending the European and World Championships can get tested. How would the results change at major NA events if we did testing at those events? And there is more testing coming all the time. If WAF is accepted into Sport Accord then we will have out of competition testing.
