Today I’m beginning a new series of updates called “This Day in Armwrestling History”. My plan is to post a snippet of information relating to the history of armwrestling on the Armwrestlers Only Facebook page each day for the next 12 months. The posts may relate to tournaments, pullers, organizations, etc. but will always be related to the calendar date. For example, here is today’s entry:
This Day in Armwrestling History…
19 years ago today – April 1st, 1995: The sixth edition of the Golden Bear International Tournament is held in Moscow. Though the U.S. and Canada had been dominating this competition since the inaugural event in 1990, it was clear that the tide was beginning to turn. Pullers from Russia and other former members of the Soviet Republic were catching up to their North American counterparts, having had a few years to learn the sport and train for it correctly. In subsequent years (1996-1999), Eastern Europeans won the majority of weight classes.
If you like to read about this sort of thing, I encourage you to “like” the Armwrestlers Only Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ArmwrestlersOnly) so that the daily updates appear in your news feed.
I will also be archiving the entries on the main Armwrestlers Only site (http://armwrestlersonly.blogspot.co.uk/) on a monthly basis.

Thanks Ryan. Luckily, I don't think of it as work.
