Canadian Tire is discontinuing a strap and are selling them off for $1.50. The product code is 76-0041. There won't be many left. After today there won't be any left in Halifax as I'm buying out the last dozen in the city.

Those Canadian Tire clack straps are what we use, but we break those plastic buckles quite regularly.

There are a couple variations of the buckle. You have to look at the thickness of the middle rung. We were comparing the crappy ones with the good ones and the good ones are quite a bit thicker.

We have been using the black ones, they work pretty well until they eventually snap. Tibok's been bugging me to order some straps from WAF - wonder if they're better?

We broke all of Canadian Tire's straps. Black, red, blue, big buckle and small buckle. They just don't make them like they used to. I finally went to a fabric and textile shop. All materials and labor, 17 dollars for 2 straps. So far, indestructible. Spent $50 at Canadian Tire over the years. If you want to know if your strap will survive, let Terry Palaschuk tie it once. I watched him break three in a row before the go. The centre bar of the plastic buckles were flying that day.
