Joey - Ontario clearly wants change now. Why go against the majority? You are elected to represent members, not to just vote however you want.
If the changes don't work out, then things can be changed again in the future. No big deal.

You guys are something else. This is a vote for changes in CAWF not Ontario. Ontario will vote the way the members want Ontario to vote.

I still have to talk to my executive but I will recommend we don't change classes or anything else for this year. These proposed changes may not workout, so I think we may let the bugs get worked out before we make any changes. You stated you had to talk to "YOUR" executive. The only place "YOU" have an executive is Ontario. If you meant "The other executives" then that would make more sense. Its time to leave "YOUR" personal opinion aside, (obviously the majority dont agree with you), and help enact change. It really doesnt matter at this point what you "think".

No Joey you are something else. The OAA members wants change at the national level and you are going to vote against it? No Dave your something else. Dan is voting for the OAA and he is voting for the members in favor of these changes. In Ontario we voted for changes at the National level and that is how we are going to vote. Yes to all topics. I don't know how else to word it. This is how we are voting at the National level Yes/No 17 Cutting Men's open Classes 4 18 Cutting Ladies Open Classes 2 17 Men's Grand Master Classes 3 14 Men's Master Classes 5 15 Ladies Master Classes 3 15 Triple Elimination 6 14 30 sec Ref Grip 7 15 Agree on Straps or ref Grip 5 Read more: armwrestling.proboards.com/thread/3779/proposed-changes-cawf-ontario-votes#ixzz2lz0vYCj6

Joey, I did not vote for you. The only reason you were voted in was due to the fact that the OAA vote was held in your own town, where you were holding a Provincial tournament. It was a conflict of interest in my opinion. Eric was doing a fine job representing Ontario, with few complaints. Quit representing yourself because it's clear, no one likes your ideas.

I have a question for Joey.
Joey, do you feel, with the current level of support you have in Ontario, the OAA will have an opportunity to thrive under your leadership? (for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons)

So just to get this straight, as the president of the OAA you are going to submit a yes vote from Ontario, and as an exec of the CAWF you are going to recommend they dont listen to you? I think at this point, you Joey, need to excuse yourself from any of this, as you clearly cannot be trusted to represent anyone, even yourself.

OK, here's a question - just spoke with Gord Squire at length about these changes. Is it the provincial president's duty to vote with what the majority wants on these issues? Even if the poll shows a win only by a slim margin? This is what it looks like in Alberta right now; we are at a 10 for, 7 against weight class reductions (votes counted from active pullers only)... should informal polls like this be binding for the president to abide by in the email vote of Rick's? Or as an elected representative, should he/she be using their own judgement on these complicated issues? This is not a clear-cut victory for either side in Alberta. Thanks everybody!

(for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons) Joe I'm not sue if your talking about the current level of support on the message board or all of Ontario. If your talking about the few on the message board, then no. they don't support me. If your talking about the 22 that voted for the changes, some yes and some no. But if your talking about the 70% of Ontario pullers that voted for me the first time, then Yes. Ontario has a future. I've noticed that most of our Ontario Pullers just want to Armwrestle and don't like the politics, so they watch the boards but don't say anything. If your interested in running for President then we should talk on the OAA board and potentially get some things resolved.
