One of my favorite things about watching the overall is the cross weight class matches. I'm not interested in seeing the 176 guy pull the 172 guy AGAIN. I enjoy watching a match with Dennis vs Joe Gould (or something similar).

Thanks for all the input guys ,all good points. This is after the main tourney so no ratings or points , in the overall a Replica Sword is on the line , kinda like the Highlander theme "there will be only one" .Narrowed down either going down the classes Heavy to light or have the 200+ pull the 200 and the 180 pull the 160. Then the two winners pull for the sword .

I think it is better if you go down the line to even it out. I don't see our lighter guys beating the heavier guys unless given a bit of an advantage, even then I think the heavier guy will win out.

I disagee. We ran the winners from 154 vs 165 / 176 vs 187 / and 198 vs 198+ one year for provincials overalls. Single Elimination. Lighter person got the Bye which was Perry Bruhm. Rob MacNamara beat out Greg Harnish and Perry came in to win the whole thing!

Terry Debates suggested to do a round robin with the 4 winners , most points win . if a tie, the two pull each other to determine the winner .

So this is basically what we will be doing at the Sword tournament?
I like the round robin idea.
