Maybe someone from the executive can post the new requirements to host nationals... I understand that the CAWF has made several changes to make it easier and relieve some of the financial burden. I would consider hosting again based on seeing this information.

Every year that goes by I'm more convinced that an east and west championships with a follow up super match tournament 1st place vs 1st place would b the way to go! This year and Vancouver is a prime example of poor amounts of entries. This would allow for a lot of pullers to attend with the hope to go to the 1 on 1 super match tournament. Then we would see the best vs the best every year. Better turnouts means better arm wrestling for everyone.

The way I understand it is the CAWF will help out with the costs with running the Nationals. Giving you options of running it on your own and keeping the profits or CAWF will cover the cost and they get the profits . Losses I think will be covered by CAWF , I might be wrong on that , maybe CAWF can post this .

I'd definitely like to see more details about this. I assume there is a limit as to what the CAWF would cover. Who's responsible for putting the details together and sharing them?

While I like this idea in theory, it's already hard to find one person to organize a single Nationals. It would be hard to find three different people/groups to put on three events.

If we stay with the format of East & West, then the West did not bid for 2014. It would go back to East for 2015 and then back West in 2016. Tracy Arnold and her team are looking to put in a bid for 2016.
Joey Costello was prepared to put in a bid for 2015 at this years meeting but things went late and his proposal was not heard.
An email will be going out to each Provincial President asking them to vote on Joey's proposal to host the Nationals in Gravenhurst in 2015. He has the sponsorship, City and Venue already and waiting for the final go ahead.

I just saw the posts on the new rules for Hosting a Nationals, I will write these up and have them reviewed by the Executive and will post in the next couple of days.
This is a big change and I want to make certain the changes are captured and written correctly before being posted.
Stay tuned
