I'm glad I can amuse you Del.
It's part of my charm.

What is your definition of a troll John?

I'll go with this one:
One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

Sounds like we are all trolls then!!!! you are basically saying a troll is when two people have a difference in opinion. What would it take to get pullers from the east to come out west? Money??? How much Mr. Milne?

There are likely to be few eastern pullers at this year's WEM tournament, given that there is an NAL qualfier in Ontario on the same day.

Please re read what it says Del. That is not what I'm saying at all.
The part about having "no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments" seems to relate very well here.
Secondly, I don't know what it would take to get guys out there Del. Sometimes establishing rivalries (like what seem to be happening here) aid in that. Depending on the person sometimes money does. For me it can be the prestige of the match, opponent or event. It's hard to say really. The fact is here in Ontario we never have to travel very far for very tough matches. Occasionally I do Arm Wars (on my own dime) but rarely travel other than that.
Since you asked me specifically I generally don't pay to travel unless it's someplace my girlfriend can come with me. She's American who can't currently enter Canada. This makes USA events the best option for me. Europe being second best although I think I'm done with that because I don't enjoy the very long flights.
I like what is happening on this board and this thread. Rivalries are good. Talk is good even if people are at different ends of the spectrum. This board often times gets too sleepy. It's fun to read lately.

I did not know this...and that f'n sucks big time!! MARK!!!
John, I am laughing prettty hard at your "troll" remarks for Del. He is probably the most straight-shooter guy I know, and I respect how he always just states what he thinks - with no negative intentions.
Also, if any of you Easterners can afford it (I know I couldn't afford to travel this year, which sucked!) skip the local NAL qualifier, and come out to WEM... so what if there's less good pullers than at MGC, the biggest challenges are just as tough as out East - and it's NEW BLOOD for a change! And Brzenk's coming!!! How do you get better than that???

Well it has been some time since I posted but actually finding time to check the nationals results (3) entries in one of classes , I c nothing changed from last year. Maybe that's why I am not in anyone's top 25 or so low in Andrews Praire rankings when on both lists there are close to ten guys who have never beaten me. But that's beside the point. I just wanted to come and say my part like every one else puts there two cents in. It's nice to be ranked or mentioned but can hurt or provides motivation when not. Couple points though is these are everybody's personal rankings based on what they think. Can change everyday. Everyone is a great armwrestler everyday if that what they love to do and makes them happy . Don't let one's personal thoughts change how u feel about the sport u love. Good key points in this thread. Free rights to express your rankings and thoughts even if there right out the door to others. Travel to tournaments outside your area to pull armwrestlers from around your country and world. Travel with family if u can k. Stay healthy and safe. Make new friends and piss off rivals......most of all have fun cause life's to short .....I agree with Del though everything is very easternized. Always has been since I started . I hosted tournaments offering $10,000 in cash in 2009 & 2010. No one came from the east . Never again. Mikes lucky to have strong based sponsors. Hopefully someday we can have a good turnout from all of Canada . Maybe Saskatoon 2016.....take care everyone .....maybe see yah soon across the table......

You do realize that almost all of Tyrrell's competitors "play" with him at the practice table? Tyrrell has two modes; relaxed and KILL. It is laughable to consider playing with Tyrrell at the practice table as an indicator of how well you would do against him in a match.
And to re-iterate; Matt Mask and Tyrrell would stomp all over Allen Ford any day any how, sorry but that is a complete joke. Del would likely annihilate him too, but that would at least be interesting to watch.
