Thanks for the vote of confidence Gill but this tourney will have armwrestlers from different planets. I think I'll just be sitting back watching this one

Thanks for the info Chris,
Right now I feel so strong but I am 191lbs... Maybe I should start running 3 weeks before the tournament... Last time I lost 5 lbs in 36 hours.... I ran 1 hour... day before the tournament...no water till I went to scale!!!
The use of creatine is another problem for me... When I take creatine..I feel very strong but at the same time I feel like I am loosing my endurance too... After a couple of matches, my arm gets so pumped up and no strength any more...?

What is with all of this running? ? I got back into armwrestling so I could quit putting in that kind of work. When I was fighting that was the worst part... the roadwork. Mind you I could play basketball for 10 hours straight, one game after another with no serious breaks but running I hated it. Now certainly I have to sweat a bit off from time to time, but running several hours a day for weeks before an event, no thanks. ;D

Gill, I will make 154 for March 25. Over the last year I competed virtually every tournament at 154. So it's not entirely impossible for me to make 154 now.

Aydin, Creatine in theory should not decrease your muscular stamina. I think it's more a case of dehydration or a depletion of carbs in your system.

It's true... it shouldn't decrease endurance. dehydration is a possibility for sure. Also if there's to much of a pump.. there's so much blood in your muscle that it can't actually contract efficiently, giving the illusion of decreased endurance, but it's really not. I've read a lot of comments from other pullers that have the same problem, and it sounds like they all stop using it around 2 weeks before a tournament to prevent that.

Well some says..decrease the amount of creatine intake 2 weeks before the tournament... I guess what I had last tournament was a cramp...my arm was pumped up but I had no strength and feeling..for now I feel good with just protein.. Thanks for the info guys... see you in Mike Gould..
