Wow ... Some big wins with the Supermatches this weekend. Gabe Accardi over Simon Berriochoa 3-0 and Micheal Todd over Marcio Barboza 3-1 ... Micheal could have had 3 straight but did not want to take the win on the account of Marcio fouling out. Marcio ended up winning the third match with Micheal coming back to win the forth long match with a shoulder press pin. Stii more matches going on ... can't wait to see what else happens ... I will be glued to ArmTV watching this event.

Hey Vern, I'm sure you have pulled Simon but have you ever pulled Gabe? He seems awesome! After the injury he had I can't beleive he"s still that strong. If any of the matches went inside, which i'm sure they did. Gabe is a powerhouse.(I thought simon was the best inside puller in N.A.)

Hey Chris .... Yes I have pulled both these guys before ... and have been lucky enough to beat them both. I pulled Gabe in 2004 at the Arnold Classic sending him to the "B" side where he ended up taking his second loss to Devin Bair. You can see this match on the www.pullingjohn.com site. I beat him to the "go" and opened up his hand on the outside and was pulling him down when Gabe slipped out in a losing position. Gabe is a outstanding puller ... and has been though the years ... he has won it all ... and has beat the best out there. With his determination that he has now again ... I am sure he will be back on top again this year. Simon is another great puller who has moved up into the 154/165 classes and has greatly improved his style/technique and strength to make him one of the cream of the crop top guys. Anytime you get to share some time with these guys on the table or off is a great experience ... they are both fantastic guys!

Certainly not my best day pulling that is for sure and none of the matches went inside, he had a great outside move in the strap that I did not answer, that is how it goes sometimes. If you want to find out how I am on the table Chris you can put yourself back into the supermatch at the Gould just to make sure we get a chance to pull each other, or you and I can pull a separate challenge match for $1K if you like.

i appreciate the offer Simon, but it's foolish for me to think that with less of 1 year of experience under my belt i am in the same class as Vern and yourself. I'd rather put the 1000$ towards traveling towards future tournaments to gain more experience and improve my mechanics and speed. But don't get me wrong, once my reaction time and technique catch up to my arm strength the three of us will have some fun. In the mean time i've heard nothing but great things about your right arm and your character, so i look forward to meeting you on and off the table.

You just went up a notch in my book Chris… ;D I think self realization with a health dose of willingness to push at your present limitations while in pursuit of significant goals is absolutely a must in this sport, good for you. It will be nice to meet you and great to be back in Canada again, the most honest and straight up armwrestling on the planet.
