No promoting the Herbacult. Popping stimulants is the same thing.

I know Tyrrell already mentioned it but I use the same cutting system as he mentioned to loose a lot of lbs quite quickly while still taking in nutrients. For me the sauna has never been a good option. It always took me too long to bounce back after weigh-ins and always left me very sleepy.
Ryan, I know you mentioned that you were looking for ways other than the sauna but I just figured I would mention it.
When I took my Personal trainer course epsom salt flushing actually was mentioned in my course and it was seriously recommended against due to the possiblility sickness or death that could result depending on how much is consumed.
Another thing that I'm curious about is how long this person you know has to loose the weight? and how much weight?
If I only have a week or so I would follow the system that Tyrrell mentioned plus possibly consider some Hot Tub time which has always worked wonders for me. I actually discovered the hot tub method by accident and was amazed at how much it dehydrated my body without depleting of fresh air like the Sauna does.
If I have a month or two to loose the weight then mixing a low carb/ high protein (Salmon/ egg whites / chicken breasts) with cardio is always a good healthy method where you can still maintain strength and loose wieght. Of course how much weight will depend on your current weight/ body fat percentage.

Curtis... what personal trainer course did you take? I am certified and am not even allowed to touch anything diet related without a University Degree... officially.
9lbs... between now and December... which in my opinion will not be hard... but I think he will most likely procrastinate until we are actually in Kelowna.

I took a personal training certification course (6 month course - 3 days a week) that was offered through a gym in S'toon here but that was in 2001. Dieting and weight cutting were covered but we were not certified in them. I will have to find my Graduation certificate to be able to tell you the exact company that offered the course. 9 Lbs should be a cake walk in that time frame. Nothing to get to worried so that is good.

My wife & I & another couple of friends just did this diet for a week & I lost 9.5 pounds my wife 7.5 my friend Jon lost 7.5 & his wife 4. We all felt pretty good. I was drained the first 3 day's until I was able to eat the meat. Had practice on the Banana & soup day & I didn't have any endurance. Pulled good for like a half hour & was done. Normally I can pull for a couple hrs & be pretty good. I've lost 16 pounds in 9 days with this diet below and constant motion. Not cardio, but always doing something. Of course, I usually have, ummm, let's call it "reserves" to spare. Someone who already is quite lean might not get those results. I felt fine during and after this diet. It's probably better than I usually eat. www.idiet4u.com/diets/sacredheart.htmlThe salts will glue you to the bowl, give you "Johnny Cash A s s", and make you feel horrible. It just can't be healthy for you. Your better off to sauna yourself. People use Epsom Salts for lawn fertilzer!!

Dave Palumbo is a big advocate for Keto Diets... I don't know enough about them to form an opinion but they sure don't look fun or healthy.
