Hey Todd, I used to take this product, excellent product for working out but not good for armwrestling practice or tournaments. What happened to me is that it flooded so much blood into my muscles that I couldn't move, not so good when I'm trying to pull. Also this product is very expensive as you have to take so many pills throughout the day and at my body weight, 250 Lbs, I had to double my intake (12 pills divided). On the good side, very good gains after 6 weeks of use, this product takes a while to kick in but you'll love the pump. I like most of BSN products, Cell Mass,NO Explode, and Syntha 6 are my choices but they are pricy. Nutrition and a timed schedule are a must when using any of these products. My sister is sponsered through BSN and All Max Nutrition and so I get the family discount. If you're looking for great gains try Big and NO3 Overload extra strength by CMI, I gained leaner muscle mass and increased my strength significantly. If you have a lot of cash, give Nitrix a try.

Nitric oxide supplements are glorified arginine... ie. a cash grab. This isn't bodybuilding... it will not help you get stronger.. and quite frankly it probably wont help you get bigger either. It's more of a vanity supplement... if 'increased vascularity' is higher on the priority list than strength, fine... but it's pretty much scam. That is all.

Nothing... I think the message here is there is no suggestion to replace this.
Spend your money on protein.

I would compare taking NO supplements to eating cardboard... you'll get the same benefit.
That's not even an opinion, it's a fact... You CANNOT physically consume enough arginine orally to increase nitric oxide levels.
AND it lowers exercise induced GH output.
AND it increases prolactin, which is associated with decreased testosterone levels.

I don't doubt your stength Chris Gobby...
I've squatted over 500lbs to depth eating nothing but pizza pops... and they're obviously horrible for you.
But it's a placebo effect... the only time arginine will increase bloodflow is if you had a massive amount put directly into your bloodstream by IV drip. That can't be achieved orally. AND most of the effect is mediated by insulin anyway. So if you want to have a blood flow increase equivalent to a huge IV arginine dose, you can just manipulate insulin directly through other methods and not throw your money out the window.
