Saturday January 20, 2007 -30th Annual Wagon Wheel Armwrestling Tournament - Nashua, MT Held at the Wagon Wheel - Rte. 2, Nashua, MT.
Weigh-ins: 4 to 6pm. Calcutta 6pm. Tournament follows the Calcutta.
Men's right & left hand: 0-154, 155-176, 177-198, 199-242, 243+. Ladies right hand: 0-143, 144+. Men's Novice/Beginner Right Hand: 0-154, 155-176, 177-198, 199+.
Awards 1st to 3rd place in all divisions. Double elimination.
Entry Fee: $20 Free T-shirt to 1st 50 entries. FREE FOR SPECTATORS!

Try about $25 canadian. and if you enter early you get a $10 shirt per arm so it really is a good deal.

Pulling and reffing as usual. You would beable to compete in the amateur class though, I can't.

And unlike a lot of events... there is money in the amateur class because of the calcutta... sometimes more than the open class.

They auction off the armwrestlers in each and every weight class. The winner of the particular class gets 10%, the local skidoo club gets 10% and whoever owns the winner gets the remainder of the pot.
for example:
198 lb right arm class
$1000 raised from the auctioning of the pullers in that class.
$100 goes to winning puller $100 goes to the Nashua Sleighers $800 goes to the owner of the winning puller.
The average pot is usually around $1500-2000 depending on the number of entries in the class. Most entries sell in the $150-200 range but I have seen individual guys go for well over $1000. If both Len and Ryan show up for this event I could easily see each of them go in the $1000 range. And if any gorillas from the states make it you could see the pot in that class skyrocket.
