Ooo Kaayy! I have to be out of town that weekend. I wanted to pull left because I got my strength back, but now won't be able to. The Lorette Hotel contacted me because I sort of put it together last year. Since I can't be there, is there anyone that would like to make it happen? I know Rick Leclaire & Albert Brelland were interested in putting it on. Any one able to help with the paperwork, ref etc...?

Gilles if you were pulling, who were you going to get to run your tournament and why can't they just run it without you there?

I'm sure they could. I contacted Abby. Both he and Rick L. would ref for nothing (if I can find Rick) I just wanted to see if any new refs would want to get some practise in (pulling & reffing). As long as one person with some knowledge of draw sheets etc... can do that, the rest should be fine. I don't expect it to be a huge event, but we'd like to get new guys out too. More dretails to follow soon!

We have several qualified refs in Manitoba... but you will likely have to give them a call as a lot of them don't come on here much... I will email you their contact info.

Sure. You're in. Looks like they'll be a first place medallion and second will get a free beer. Not humungo prizes, but it's only $5 an arm. Depending on numbers, maybe $5 for both? I'm still making a few more calls, but if anyone wants to come down to pull and volunteer with draw sheets etc... it would be helpful. Looks like this can be a regular annual event. We'd just have to fine tune the promoting and organisational details to make it a significant draw. Details above have been confirmed.
