My elbows, like most peoples got really sore from armwrestling when i started out, and I stopped benching with a barbell all together for several years.. Then one day I was training with a friend and hopped in on bench and realized my elbows didn't hurt anymore This sounds very familiar and probably why I haven't done heavy benching for awhile.

My "eventual" goal, is 405 for 3 reps. Maybe 425 for 1 rep? I imagine it will be a long time unless I focus specifically on bench.

Guy in a bench shirt is around 500lbs in training, but has yet to do that much in competition... depends on weight class and what bench shirt he's wearing... some of the newer single ply bench shirts you can't even touch your chest with under 400lbs on the bar.
Ryan did that raw... I bet with some training in a bench shirt he'd be over 600lbs no problem
It depends what your training for... If you worked up to an absolute max at every workout you'd probably hinder yourself. Some guys don't work above a heavy double or triple in training... lots of factors involved.
