Hello all. I am looking to start some strangth/speed training specifically for arm wrestling and am wondering what the best exercises are to start my training. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Where do you live? (to find a club)
How do you pull?
How much time are you willing to invest?

I would recommend reading through many of the already existent threads in this section for starters as there are some great topics.
Make sure you are getting lots of table time. Makes a HUGE difference.
Take care.

gpeagle, I'm in the same situation (sort of) that you are.
I can't find training partners and the few I could contact would tear my freakin arm off.
So I am working on building up my strength, power and tendon/ligament strength. While waiting for some small tournaments.
What kind of equipment do you have access to?
I am doing pull ups with isometric holds, using independent "D" ring handles 2" diameter with my palms facing in to the side (armwrestling position).
Wrist roller, I think it's a great wrist conditioner and forearm developer if you know how to use one properly.
Latex surgical tubing, heaviest I could find and 16' rigged up to simulate actual armwrestling. Really works the tendons from the wrist all the way into my shoulders.
COC grippers and the Ivanko Gripper.
Levering.
