Terry made me a couple FAT dumbbells pictured here with one of the first ones he made me. I can't wait to use them this Friday.

Those look sweet! Is the biggest a 3" db? Which size are you using for your hammer curls?

Using the smallest ones for curls at the moment... the biggest one must be close to 3"... I will measure later.

If I remember right they were 3" and 4". They were actually the stubs off of tractor axels that were cut off that I found out on our iron rack. They are "HEAVY!!", almost twice as heavy as the first ones I built for Ryan. I could only do a couple of reps without any extra weight on them and they just peeled my fingers open. To give you an idea of the size remember that the bottom one in the pic is a 2" shaft.

I tried the top one tonight at Ryan's and the picture doesn't do it any justice. It's way bigger than the picture would indicate.
