I don't golf, but supposedly I have the elbows. I'm still sore from the Miss Q's tourny. The Chiro says to take 6 wks off (or till the soreness is totally gone) before before lifting heavy or pulling. Any input from others experiencing this besides the usual icing & rest? I feel the pain everytime I shut a door or wash my face (any type of side pressure) Looks like I'll have to skip some tournys so I can be in good shape for Provincials.

Advice.... see a sports therapist. What the hell does a chiropractor know about training?

Try working the EXTENSOR muscles. Get some of those charity rubber bands (Livestrong, Support Our Troops et cetera), place them over your finger tips and open your hand wide and hold for a second or two. Do this for sets of 10-15 reps, a couple of times per week.

Echo: See a Sports therapist.
Unless you like training with pain and injury... in which case turn a blind eye and keep training. I'm confident a professional will have you on the road to recovery quickly.

Sounds all good. From what I understand, the condition refered to as golfer's elbow is manifested on the inside, and tennis elbow more so on the outside of the arm. Some people are saying I'm just geting old, but I'm probably in better shape than I was at 20 - I'm just not regular enough with the training or table time. Thanks for the input!

it's just tendonitis... so treat it like any other tendonitis.... rest, ice, compress... once it feels a bit better start stretching it and apply resistance slowly. You have to apply resistance to strengthen it as it heals. That's that.

Any beneficial supplements for that particular problem? (glucosomine...?)

If you decide to take Glucosamine, word of advice, take some that incorporates an amount of Chondroitin Sulfate. These 2 supplements together boosts each others effect.
