Lots of interesting stories guys....I am sure I could top a few. The best was when I was training in Regina for power lifting and was benching 245. It was double what I weighed at the time. I actually had the guy next to me, throw the weights on the floor from his bench and swear and walk out. I laughed of course! Another great one...I was doing abs on a machine in Saskatoon, and had a guy walk up to me and ask me if I wanted to be "Saved". He was a born again Christian and felt the need to save my soul while I was doing ab crunches, what an idiot. Apparently, he knows something I don't. I love reading about your stories guys, keep it up. Oh by the way Terry, I think you are being watched cause you give off the VIBE! lol

This is another one for the guys that think they can move a lot more weight than they actually can. When I was going to University there was this one skinny guy about 6' 4" tall and weighed about 180lbs. Granted the guys was pretty ripped up with the 14" guns. Anyways one day he sees a few of us shrugging off the power rack. Not a bad weight 2 and half plates around 275lbs. So when we are done he comes over and puts 3 plates on 315lbs. proceeds to attempt a shoulder shrug which he can't do so to try and save face and bangs out 6 or seven calf raises. It was really funny looking.
This is the same guy who later in the year asked to work in with me on a set of decline dumbs. I had the 110 lb's and when asked what weight he wanted said "whatever you got there" all right the scene is set he's on the bench and I pass him one dumb putting it on his chest then the next. He has the weight and of course can't lift it off his chest I grab his wrists pull the weight up with him pushing once his arms are extended his elbow lets go and wham right on his chest.
He was alright just embarrassed .....why do people do that?

I was working out at this gym (yes I do workout at a gym) where the London Knights train. They won the Memorial Cup a couple years ago for those of you that don't know. There were 4 of them doing one arm wrist curls with 60lbs. When ever they where done they would slam, not just drop, slam the weight to the floor. It was getting kind of annoying after the 10th time.
I was in my normal gym attire, which makes me look chubbier then I usually do. I went over and grabbed the 120lbs weight. I walked over slowly, put the weight down and sat on the bench. I then proceeded to repout 10 reps of one arm wrist curls and gently put down the weight. I did this 3 times then put the weight back.
As I was walking away I heard one of them say " That is what the juice does for you". I still laugh about it to this day because if I was on steroids I have been doing them wrong, because the only thing that has grown bigger on me over the years is my butt.

Little? Ouch... I've actually been going to the Y downtown for the last 2 months, and do my chinups there now I realized that paying for parking downtown a few times a week 2mins from where I live was still cheaper than driving all the way to Westwood and parking for free.
