Ryan,
On your older split(not sure if your doing it now or not) Did you do your back "(pullups, rows etc.) on either reg. curl day or brach day?
Im having good success with the same type split but I dont pull as often as you do so that is probably why Im recovering ok. Thanks buddy

I now do back on bicep day... ie. regular curls. I used to do a lot of brach movements during back day and still another day just for that and ended up WAY overtrained.

Ive been doing back work before my bicep day as well and I like it. All bach movements are done on another day.
On bicep day are you doing only one heavy bicep movement each workout? I know your big on partial curls, anything else you throw in?

Well I change it up depending on feel... for example last time I just wasn't feeling it with my regular routine for biceps so I did about 6 different movements... 2 sets each.
I always go descending... start heavy and intense and gradually end up lighter and pump it out. Every set is to at least positive failure.

Thanks Ryan. I was under the impression before that you would do heavy partial curls followed by a set or 2 of full range curls. I didnt realize you do multiple movements. Thanks for clearing it up. Ive been having pretty good results doing heavy partials followed by a couple sets of full range.

Partials are always first...

Ryan do you mind saying how much you use on the partials? You hear some crazy numbers by people but they are either an outright lie or they are using a 45 degree preacher bench and not getting thier arm to 90 degrees.

Right now... not as much as I was before injuries when I was using a 140lb dumbell for 8. i am doing these with an EZ Curl bar now as the angle seems to be more suited for armwrestling.

Not to keep dragging this topic on, but I love the ez bar and I think its a better angle for pulling as well. ez bar partial curls sound interesting, thanks for the tip.
