I have never taken supplements in my life, just wondering if they are actually any help.

Rejean, If you just want to get your feet wet with supplements try some whey based protein following your workouts.

Rejean. If you are at or near your competitive weight, I would advise against using Creatine ... as it causes you to retain water. I have used it before and I have gotten stronger while using it but at the cost of getting heavier.
If weight is not a concern for you then I'd say go ahead with it. Strength and size gains came fairly fast while I was using it and I beleive it aids in the revovery process.

you're right about the water weight it causes. Everytime go on Creatine i gain about 8 lbs of water weight in the first few weeks.
Definetly helps with recovery. Read about how creatine works and you will see why.

I say glutomine is over rated. Supposed to help with muscle recovery. Go with BCAA's better bang for your buck
