I'm just wondering if anyone has some tips for women who want to start pulling. I've been watching my husband for 2 years and have been training a little with him and our club.
I'm frustrated, very frustrated. I've only been able to pull a couple of time in tournaments and seem to get my a** spanked everytime. I am also usually doing draw sheets as well, which is probably not allowing time to get mentally prepared.
I don't think that I suck BUT I've noticed that most of the women that pull have been doing it for a long time or have competed nationally or internationally. Which I think is where the spanking comes in.
I really like armwrestling, but it's hard to stay motivated when you can't seem to win.
Any tips, ideas or training help would be appreciated.

Hi Lynn...watching a training a little....simply does not cut it. women just like men need to train regularly and progressively if you want to compete. I have no idea what you're physical shape or fitness level is but if your not doing something 1 hr per day 5 days per week your not pushing yourself to a level to make gains...by 'doing something' I mean lifting weights over overall body, armwrestling exercizes, armwrestling practice. Good Luck JGH

I agree... train like the men do... and pull as much in tournaments as you possibly can. You can't hope to beat the established female pullers by just pulling against them once in a while.
