That depends Laura... although I am sure you could find a lot of the old school guys that would tend to agree that chin-ups are the best all around for armwrestling.

Hi Laura, Do you really think you need to get any better I got an idea, why don't you give me a chance to catch up first. I put a post up today about women in this sport and am waiting for some tips too...... Steve has a great book that I've extracted some pages out of and customized my own weight workout based on the muscles utilized in the various exercises and based on the very detailed descriptions of the muscles and what sports these muscles play a role in or what actions the muscles are used for. Each exercise also tells you when to do it. So if you are working your biceps, it will give the proper order to do the various exercises (i.e. standing barbell curl first, seated dumbbell curl 2nd, preacher curl 3rd and so on). I'm hoping that I'm on the right tract with my weight training (I think I am). If we could have pulled after Best in the West, I'd have a better idea. Anyhow, the manual is called Muscle & Fitness Training Notebook. You have to order it on the web and it costs about $65 depending on the dollar. If your interested in looking at it you can go to www.muscle-fitness.com. Hope this helps. See you at Provincials
