On April 8, a tournament in the small town of Lac Etchemin, Quebec (between Quebec City and the Maine border) attracted 57 entries. Most pullers were from small towns in the area, and do little (if any) competing elsewhere. So there were many "unknowns" to us outsiders. The Open classes were dominated by 300 lb+ Dave Turgeon, and the 187 classes by Heinje Bergeron. I had some "moral victories" in the 154 class :-) Chris Gobby had to compete in the 187's and suffered the consequences :-( Hopefully - more complete results will appear at www.brasdefer.ca

Just kidding about Chris. He had some great matches against guys outweighing him by almost 30 lbs.
