I'm working on that as well; cutting back to 2 tables on Sat (5 referees) and everyone sharing rooms will cut the hotel costs in half. This will save about $3000.

If memory serves me correctly Rick when I proposed the room sharing for refs at Nationals back in Ottawa you voted against it.
That being said, for all these changes to happen, where is this new executive coming from?

Yes, you're right I did vote against it. As Referee-in-Chief I was voting for the referees. Also it had only been a couple years since we raised the entry fee to cover the costs.

We'll need to have an email vote with all the Provincial Presidents to get this passed.

Rick are we only gearing towards just having the open/senior classes triple elimination?? I can see only using 2 tables on Saturday if this was the case but even with the reduced classes I feel that making the switch to triple elimination will warrant at least 3 tables on Sunday. Plus I'm sure we'll hear slack regarding the Master's and Disabled classes not making the switch to triple elimination if this is the case. I'd like see them all bumped up to triple elimination IMO.

For now, I am only propsing triple elimination for Sunday. Masters will remain double (for now). We would remain 3 tables on Sunday.
