If we are considering classes that aren't currently offered at the Worlds (e.g. 105 kg for the men), then perhaps this would be a better split for the women's classes:
63/75/75+

Prob should be a low end class in 55kg range. ie 55/65/80/80+ or 55/63/75/75+

Jeff - which classes would you have if there could only be three?

If there was a limit of three women's classes: 55/65/65+

I find that tinkering with the womens weight classes , will bring the wrath from the women . Believe me its a touchy subject out here when I was adjusting the classes at a provincial level. I would get the women to input on this one , just saying.

How about splitting up everyone that shows up into three different categories, lightweight, middle weight and open. No well defined boundary, just base it on who shows up that day. Don't even bring out the scale.

^ I doubt this would fly. Most people prefer to know which class they'll be pulling before choosing to attend an event.
Everyone has the opportunity to comment on this thread, and should take the opportunity to do so, because I sense changes will be made soon.
If we have to stick with WAF weight limits, I think 60,70,70+ is the way to go.

Personally I think there should be at least 4 classes. I would say start the low end at 50 or 55. I pulled 60 at the Nationals but could easily make it to the 55. And would prefer the opportunity to pull at a lower weight than have to pull a higher weight. I am just getting back into the sport and find it very discouraging when tournaments only offer 2 classes, and/or only one arm for the women. I won't travel for that, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
