tomorrow and saturday are my last heavy workouts.... tuesday or wednesday gonna do a light one.... that'll leave 3 or 4 days til nationals.
If i take anymore than that off i'll start feeling weak.
not sure if i'll have to drop any weight... I should be right on the money...

I feel slightly overtrained as it is so I think i will do some lighter ones over the weekend (Monday at the very latest) then call it quits... a flusher on Wednesday, then fly out Friday.

Ryan I think your on the right track. If your feeling somewhat overtrained doing a couple of flushing type workouts will actually speed up recovery. Good luck guys!

Same here I'm going to do a light one on the weekend, I think there is no need pushing out a couple of heavy ones a week before, too much money invested to fly across the country with an extra risk of injury. I too feel overtrained and am hopeing a week off will help the aches in my joints.

I think we all know how hard actual table time is on the poor tendons. I avoid any sort of table training ~ 2 wks prior for fear of damaging something (training with Luke tends to have that affect) : those tendons take a long time to heal so I may be even better off with a longer period of rest... But I admit that I continue to do other things like chin-ups in the meantime ... just to keep the muscles "spiked", so to speak: muscles seem to have no trouble with short term recovery and minimal loading. Of course, I like to do some running as well. It's great to be able to do a form of training that has no affect on the arms at all. - John
