What do you mean all the reasoning in the world? What do you know about the process? If you had any idea you wouldn't make those kind of statements. I have said before that we will not release any info until the process finished. The process is not over.

I think what he means is... other sports never take this long. Over two months is a very long time even if you are communicating via snail mail.
With no updates or communication people are losing faith in the process.

Pretty much... by the time it comes through it's gonna be old news, and any actions taken are going to be so far past the situation people aren't going to take any of the testing seriously..
Making the info public efficiently and quickly (within reason) is going to be half the battle implementing this effectively. Obviously this was the first time and there is going to be an adjustment period to fine tune the process... BUT... I think if this is how long it's going to take, we migiht need to take a step back and reorganize it before doing it again..
thats just my opinion, as someone on the recieving end of the information.

This is how long things are going to take. Yes we have to communicate through snail mail, except amongst the committe members. Even with email it takes a couple days to reply back and forth amongst members since we are spread half way around the world. There are several steps that must be taken. Every step has time limits. I know you people are impatient but the RIGHTS OF THE ATHLETE will supercede everything else. We will not be pressured into speeding up the process. If it takes 6 months I could care less as long as the process is followed correctly. We hope to be able to release something soon but there is the possibility that this may drag on a bit longer yet.

Off course the puller has rights, but the time that it takes and the way the tests are done seem novice, please dont take this as the efforts are unapreciated but i think measures can be taken to avoid this sort of discussion in the future. Also i dont really think people want to know names mainly substances weather steroid or flu tablet, seeing as this is the 1st testing done at the WAF worlds people do get curious including myself.

I agree with Rick on this one. I wouldn't want the integrity of the testing process to be comprimised just to satisfy the curiosity of people who want to know the 5 w's of what the test was.I would think that it would do more harm to rush things along and have a mistake made. That would do more harm to the situation than following the proper steps out and yes taking more time than we like but still in the end getting it right the first time. As far as it not taking as long with other sports I think the key difference there is "MONEY". If we had a huge budget to play with I'm sure this would have been resolved by now.Look at it as we are taking baby steps and the last time I checked babies don't sprint without crawling first.

If anyone thinks that they can do a better job the answer is simple. VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME AND JOIN THE COMMITTEE. After this year's Worlds you get to stand around and wait for people to pee in a bottle, while everyone else has long since left. Last year Frederic and I were there til 9pm. Then when everyone else has started to train for next year you are spending all your time corresponding with other persons on the committee. Here's the best part of volunteering: if you don't spend every waking hour making sure that the process is pushed through as fast as possible people b**ch and complain. They also accuse you of covering things up. Please come one come all and join this committee. You will be adorned by everyone; small children will throw rose petals at your feet as you walk down the road, total strangers will shower you with money. I don't understand why more people don't join committees.
