So just to get this straight, as the president of the OAA you are going to submit a yes vote from Ontario, and as an exec of the CAWF you are going to recommend they dont listen to you? I think at this point, you Joey, need to excuse yourself from any of this, as you clearly cannot be trusted to represent anyone, even yourself. Sorry Guy I don't know what your talking about. LOL

70% might have voted for you originally, in the name of change. However I'd bet that 90% of those people wish they had voted differently. I would love to see an updated poll to see what members think of their current president, who at the best of time struggles to show the leadership qualities of a grade school class President.

I know Joey had the support at the OAA election, but I feel since then he has lost at least some of his support. (At least 2 of his executive team?)
Some of the people on this board who don't support you, Joey, are team leaders. So, my thought is, when the circuit resumes, won't there be very small turn outs?
I guess my original question was around this, the circuit... Will people show up to OAA circuit events in 2014 with the amount of non Costello supporters?
Should the promoters who are holding circuit events in 2014 be confident that the 70% who voted for you will also support tournaments? (There is a sense that many that voted for you were either not regularly active, or not active at all, like spouses, etc)
My feeling is that the OAA circuit is in for a very rough year.
I would definitely be willing to discuss myself, or someone else assuming the role as president.

Thanks be to Gould!!! Also thank you Ontario for taking a stand here. I walked away from the boards for a couple weeks because I was losing faith. So I thank you all for voicing you concerns. Much like the rules being brought to the attention of the executive, we tried something new, it didnt work, so lets take a step back and fix the situation. Now not later. Again my many thanks to Joe, Guy, Eric and the rest of the members of the O.A.A. for keeping the faith.

It's getting hot in here.
One positive thing here is that the communication on the message boards is up and we're talking about serious subjects.
It will be interesting to see how this all turns out.

I think at this point, you Joey, need to excuse yourself from any of this, as you clearly cannot be trusted to represent anyone, even yourself. Sorry Guy I don't know what your talking about. LOL Then let me simplify it for you as you seem confused by your own path. You as president of the OAA are excusing yourself from voting with the OAA so you can VETO the vote using your VP position with the CAWF. Does this now make sense to you? Is your arrogance only surpassed by your ignorance or am I the only one seeing the conflict of interest here? You are snuffing off to the OAA membership by going against there wishes plain and simple. You claim 70% support in the OAA election but I havent found one person willing to admit voting for you at any tournament since PROVINCIALS? Is it just that many are embarrased or is it the fact that those that voted wont travel more than 5 miles from Gravenhurst? I am going to propose at the next AGM that only the REAL members of the OAA (with 2 or 3 years membership), be allowed to vote on Executive. If this was in place, what would have happened that day? It is time for you to set your arrogance aside and manup. These associations are just clubs of a hobby, they are not the NHL, NBA or major sports. Being president is not more than a manager position at best. Its time to listen to the group or drive this association into the ground. Your call!

Dan Bellefuille, are you still confident the OAA can thrive under Joeys leadership? Will the circuit flop? Should the promoters of the 2014 circuit be concerned?
From what I understand, 2 executives from the controversial 2013 election have stepped down. Is this correct? Are you still on board?

It is always interesting to me when I see a handful of individuals voicing concerns, and when changes are not made in the direction they see fit, one individual becomes responsible for all of the current issues and the cause of the problem. Perhaps everyone who has ever been part of the executive in the past can take a moment to look at their own part they played at that level, and honestly take responsibility for what they did...was it self serving? Was it for the for the greater good? Was everyone in Ontario heard or represented? And maybe look a little deeper to ask themselves who were they representing....the majority? My interest and passion in this sport has spanned over 28 years. I find it disheartening when there appears to be such conflict and division within our own province...and for what....because of personality issues? Really? I question the purpose of this message board. This would be a great venue for people to be proactive in helping the sport move forward. I would never tell anyone outside of this sport or anyone new to this sport to come here. If this message board was my first look or exposure to this sport, I am quite certain that I would not have wanted to be a part of it, as this would not have attracted me. It would almost seem like I'm watching bullying in the adult world. Instead of focussing on what no one agrees on, what if a different approach were taken....let's say, for example....making a list of what you all agreed on or how to attract more people to this sport...just something that is more proactive. There are many Ontario pullers that will never voice their opinion on this board or on any other level. There are actually some that are in this sport because they want to have fun! To all those who spend the majority of your time complaining about what you don't like, how about remembering what got you into this sport in the first place! No matter who the leader is in any organization or group, there will always be conflict. It would be nice to see those who have been around for a while to take a more proactive stand, and support Joey during his term. At the end of the day, everyone thinks they can do better, and in the process try to deflate or tear someone down. Change is easy when it's self imposed...however change is usually met with adversity when it appears imposed upon us. So for those who believe they can do better, how about you prepare yourself for the next election...but in the meantime, Ontario needs you to pull it together and be a part of, not apart from!
