Steph wins the left and the right 176. Unless, of course, I have a miraculous recovery and pull too! Kelly and Perry are next in line in the right and the Mansons in the left. This could be a great Edmonton-Calgary rivalry in that class!

Just a guess that Scott is 220, unless he loses about 15 pounds

I would still predict a win from Fraser with the left.

Also... there is already a "butcher" in armwrestling. Corey needs a different nickname.
And... Len Houghton will win if he shows.

Hey good job Adam with your first provincial championship (right 198's, 1st place!). My loss to you was one of my favourites - your win was well deserved!
I think Gord will post the results once they are compiled, but here's the small amount I remember:
Junior men right - 1st Tanner
176 right - 1st Kelly Leitch, 2nd Dustin Leitch, 3rd Glen MacDonald 176 left - 1st Gord Squire, 2nd Gary MacDonald 198 right - 1st Adam Luka, 2nd Dion B., 3rd Jeff Miller 198 left - 1st Fraser Benoit, 2nd Jeff Miller, 3rd Dion B. 220 right - 1st Mark Harrison, 2nd Steve Kauppi 220 left - 1st Mark Harrison, 2nd Scott Laroque, 3rd Steve Kauppi 220+ Right - 1st Corey Buchta 220+ left - 1st Corey Buchta
Like Adam alluded to, the turnout wasn't huge - many people that usually turn up at these events weren't there for whatever reason. Fraser only entered the left 198s and was a rock as per usual. Of the group the only guys that I know are going to nationals are myself and Kelly Leitch - there are many others as of yet still undecided.

It was a rather poor turnout to say the least. Lee was answering Slave Lakes Prayers for rain by dealing with floods but I'm not sure of everyone else's reasons for not attending. I'm more than a little concerned with Alberta's attendance around provincials and don't know what the solution is. We seen better attendance out of the couple tournaments that were held this year then we did at provincials. I wonder if the title "provincials" suggests that it is a championship that is closed to the public that is the reason for the poor turnout? Do any other hosts experience the same attendance? The year I started there was a novice division and the attendance was better but I'd hate to be the one purchasing the extra set of trophies to test this theory. Does anyone have an opinion how one of the top provinces in the past, with some of the best pullers in the country ended up in the situation we're in? I'd sure like to hear peoples thoughts
